Linda Koch

Hi! I'm Linda, your PTA Board President!  My husband and I have two daughters at Sherwood ES, one in 5th grade and one in 4th grade. 

We've lived in the Sherwood area for 6 years. I grew up a military brat so I've lived all over, but have stayed in Maryland since I graduated from UMCP in 2002.

In my free time, I love to go cruising & camping, do all things Girl Scouting, host parties, hang out with my friends and family and travel.

Ticona Fillah

Hello!  My name is Ticona Fillah, and I am so excited to serve as a VP.  I am a native Maryland & Moco resident and am married with two girls.  My husband Vince is also a native Maryland & Moco resident, and owns a barbershop in Olney.  Our girls are Emerson, who is in 3rd grade, and Ellington who is 4 years old.  I work full-time in Human Resources, and enjoy spending time with family, and friends,   

I am looking forward to working with my fellow PTA board members and leadership to make our Sherwood ES community an amazing experience for the kids, teachers, and administration!

Brenna Mikesell

​Hello, my name is Brenna and I am the PTA board Vice President #2. I grew up in Montgomery County, and my husband, Mike, and I settled back here after school. We moved to the Olney area and became part of the Sherwood community in 2017 when our son started kindergarten. We are now entering our last year here at Sherwood as our daughter begins her 5th grade year. I work as a PA and in my free time I enjoy traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends. My family and I have loved being a part of the Sherwood community and look forward to a great year!

Sarah Lowman

My name is Sarah, and I (along with my husband, Patrick) have two kids at Sherwood, one in third grade and one starting this year in kindergarten. I have lived in the Sherwood area for about 10 years; I grew up in the suburbs of Richmond, VA before moving up to Maryland after college. When I'm not happily serving on your PTA board, I enjoy outdoor adventures with my family, reading, and a variety of crafts. Go Sharks!

Marlene Campbell

Hi! My name is Marlene my husband and I have two daughters at Sherwood. They are in second and third grade. I grew up in Montgomery County and have lived in Olney for 9 years. I like to spend my time volunteering and enjoying my family and friends.

Michelle Lancaster

Hi everyone! My name is Michelle Lancaster, and I am excited to serve as your new Treasurer! I grew up in a small town in Bergen County, New Jersey and my husband (Carlos) is a native Maryland resident. He is the Owner / Broker of a Real Estate company in Laurel, MD as well as a Real Estate Investor. We have two children: Carlito / Cal (1st grade) and Morgan (Preschool / Age 4). I work full-time in Account Management for an aerospace manufacturing company in Beltsville, MD. I am looking forward to working with my fellow PTA board members and our Sherwood ES community to help facilitate an amazing experience for our children, parents, teachers, and administration! Claudia Aranda

Hi, my name is Claudia.  My husband and I are the proud parents of Victoria, an SES second grader.  While we aren't native Marylanders (Vicente was born in California and raised in Washington state, and I was born and raised in Texas), we are proud to have called Montgomery County home since 2012. We are grateful to now be a part of the SES community. In my professional life, I have used my legal background to uncover barriers to fair housing and to promote diversity, equity and inclusion principles and best practices.  I am excited to serve on the Sherwood PTA board, help support our school community, and connect with other SES families.  

Cheri Salasznyk

Hi, I am Cheri! I am a mom of two - Charlotte who is in 3rd grade and Christian who is in 1st grade. We made Olney our home in 2015. Taking advantage of Covid, I shifted my 15+ year career in corporate events to part-time to be more involved with our kids as they entered school and sports. I am happy to be a member of the Sherwood PTA.

Bridget Roberts

Hi, I’m Bridget!  I have 2 children at Sherwood (Spencer is in 2nd grade and Hailey is in 5th) and a 7th grader at Farquhar (Maddie). I grew up outside Philadelphia but my husband grew up in Maryland and we moved to the area more than 10 years ago.  I work full time as a tax lawyer for the federal government and in my free time I enjoy reading, travel, knitting and driving to as many soccer practices and games as possible :)

Maggie Pond

Greetings! My name’s Maggie and my husband Jeff and I are the proud parents of Evan, an SES kindergartener. We live in Sandy Spring with my dad, my brother & his family (my niece is also an SES kindershark!), 2 cats, and several chickens & turkeys. I was raised in Montgomery County where I was in public school from K-12, graduated from UMD, and currently work in Program Management for the JHU Applied Physics Lab.

I am committed to advocating for a just and inclusive school culture and strongly believe in the power of community engagement to create a positive learning environment for our children. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Board and look forward to connecting with many of you over our next 6 years at SES!
